Purchased in 1965, Fox Briar Farm was the family home of Earl and Sheila Jamison and their five children: Sherri, Kim, Donna, Kelly, and Bradford. Located just behind Peddler’s Village, which Earl and Sheila created in 1962, the sprawling property was an incredible place for Donna Jamison Cave and her siblings to spend their childhood. Fox Briar Farm has been in the family all these years and in 2021 Donna and her husband Jeff became the sole owners, transforming the residential home and barn into a private eight-bedroom Inn and wedding and events venue.
Donna’s vision for the restoration of the farm was centered on stewardship of the heritage and character of the property with an inflection of modern comforts. The installation of geothermal wells provides the c.1740 Inn zoned air conditioning and heating in each guest room and throughout the house. Fully renovated en suite bathrooms were appointed with timeless marble and tiling detail, high water pressure, and wall-mounted bath products to avoid single-use plastics.
The scope and quality of this undertaking was made possible by the team at Mack and Roedel Custom Builders. Glenn Roedel, Donna’s cousin, used his knowledge of and appreciation for the characteristic stone farmhouses of Bucks County to execute the most seamless renovation and restoration possible. This new chapter of the property’s history extends to the next generation with Kendall, Donna and Jeff’s niece, running the Inn while their adult children Jared and Hannah handle marketing, web design/support, and digital advertising.
It is our great pleasure to share this beautiful property with those getting married, hosting a special occasion or work retreat, or simply enjoying a serene getaway for a few nights to refresh the soul. We look forward to seeing you at the farm.
